Agriculture courses at CSKHPKV, Himachal Pradesh
Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh has invited applications for admission to the following Agriculture courses of Academic Year 2011-12 through Entrance Examinations on 8th May 2011.
Courses:
1. BVSC & AH Programme
2. BSc (Hons.) Agricuture
3. BSc Basic Sciences
4. BSc Home Science (Hons)
5. BTech (FST)
6. MBA (Agribusiness)
7. MSc / MVSc Programmes
Minimum Eligibility Qualification:
1. BVSC & AH Programme
+2 examination / equivalent examination conducted by Board / University / Council with not less than pass marks in each subject and not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, in case of SC / ST candidates, minimum aggregate required is 40% OR Any examination of a University / Board / College/School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent for the purpose.
2. BSc (HONS.) Agriculture:
Regular students: +2 examination / equivalent examination conducted by a Board / University / Council with not less than pass marks in each subject and not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of English , Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics /Agri. However, in case of SC / ST candidates, minimum aggregate required is 40% OR any examination of a University / Board / College / School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent for the purpose.
3. Bsc Basic Sciences:
+2 examination / equivalent examination conducted by a Board / University with not less than pass marks in each subject and not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics. However, in case of SC / ST candidate minimum aggregate required is 40% OR Any examination of the University / Board / College / School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent for the purpose.
4. Bsc Home Science (Hons.):
+2 examination / equivalent examination conducted by a Board / University /council with not less than pass marks in each subject and not less than 45% marks in the aggregate of Home Science group or English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics / Agriculture. However, in case of SC / ST candidates, minimum aggregate required is 35% OR Any examination of the University / Board / College / School in a foreign country which is recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent for the purpose.
5 .BTech (Food Science & Technology):
+2 with science or equivalent examination conducted by a Board / University / Council with not less than pass marks in each subject and not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics / Agriculture. OR Any examination from a University / Board / College/ School in a foreign country recognized by the Academic Council as equivalent for the purpose.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Agribusiness):
BSc (Agri.), BSc (Hort), BSc (Forestry), BVSc & AH, BSc, BSc Home Science, BTech (Agri. Engg.), BTech (Food Science & Technology) and BBA from the recognized Institute / University with minimum of 60% marks in qualifying degree. The students from non-agricultural stream shall have to study remedial/deficiency courses to qualify the degree programme.
MSc Agriculture
(i) Agricultural Biotechnology (ii) Agricultural Economics (iii) Agronomy (iv) Entomology (v) Extension Education (vi) Plant Breeding & Genetics (vii) Plant Pathology (Viii) Soil Science (ix) Tea Husbandry & Technology (x) Vegetable Science
BSc in Agriculture / Forestry / Horticulture with an OCPA of 2.70/4.00 or 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks from a University established by law in India. However in the case of SC / ST candidates the minimum qualifying marks shall be 50%. OR A degree from of a foreign University (with at least ‘B’ grade or its equivalent) recognized as equivalent for the purpose by the Academic Council.

(a) Against payment at the post offices:

Note: Handling charges of Rs. 50/will be charged extra by the post office.
(b) From the Assistant Registrar (Acad.) by sending Account payee bank draft drawn in favour of Comptroller, CSKHPKV, Palampur on SBI, HPAU, Palampur (Code No.3632):
i) General Rs. 830
ii) SC / ST Rs. 430
iii) BVSC & AH.(Gen) Rs. 1230*
iv) BVSC & AH.(SC / ST) Rs. 830** Including Entrance Test FeeFee for applying Payment/SelfFinancing seat Rs. 1200/
Mode of Payment:
Cash at post offices and by post from the Asst. Registrar(Acad.), CSKHPKV, Palampur through Account payee Bank Draft drawn in favour of Comptroller, CSKHPKV, Palampur (HP)-176062 on SBI, HPAU-Palampur (code No. 3632) along with self addressed envelope of size 30x25 cm.

However, in such cases application should be accompanied with the requisite application fee as mentioned above for the respective programme, in the form of Bank Draft to be drawn in favour of Comptroller, CSKHPKV, Palampur (H.P.)-176 062,payable at SBI, HPAUPalampur (Code No.3632).

BVSC & AH: Without late fee April 20, 2011 & With late fee of Rs.1000, April 21, 2011 to April 25, 2011 (Walk in submission of application Form)
(All other courses) : Without late fee June 13, 2011 & With late fee of Rs.500, June 14, 2011 to June 18, 2011 (Walk in submission of application Form)NOTE: Late fee is in addition to the normal application form fee.
